The pump of the filter system also allows for vacuuming the bottom of the pool using a bottom suction cleaner on a telescopic pole. The bottom cleaner is connected to the system through the skimmer, either using a suction hose or a standard pool hose.

Filter Material:

Either Filterballs or sand can be used as filter material.

Filterballs: In addition to having a high filtration capacity (down to 10 microns), Filterballs are water-saving because backwash does not need to be carried out continuously. Instead, Filterballs can be washed in the washing machine (without soap) or by hand when the season is over. Compared to other filter materials, Filterballs provide minimal water resistance, resulting in higher water flow. This means that the filter system can circulate all the pool water faster, resulting in lower energy consumption. Another major advantage of Filterballs is their lightweight. This is good news for the back when emptying the filter tank. 100g of Filterballs is equivalent to 3.57 kg of sand.

Filtersand: Sand is the historically most commonly used filter material. And with good reason. The natural material captures particles down to 40 microns. On the other hand, sand, especially wet sand, is very heavy. It is therefore recommended that the filter system be placed in its intended location before the sand is filled into the tank. Sand also requires regular backwashing (flushing) to clean the sand, with a minimum of 2-4 times per month. This means that more water is used when sand is chosen as the filter material. For a pool with 30-40,000 liters of water, between 180 and 240 liters of water are used per backwash/flush.

Accessories: With the ClearWater filter system, a UV light can be installed directly in the filter lid. This way, algae and spores can be removed from the water without the use of chemicals. It can also be equipped with an electric heater that helps to extend the pool season with warm and pleasant pool water.

Powerful pump and large filter tank: The system comes with a powerful pump that is matched in capacity to the size of the filter tank and the pool volume specified in the specifications below. The pump must be powerful enough to circulate all the pool water 5 times a day - through the filter material, that is. As a rule of thumb, the pumps cleaning capacity should be equal to the pools water volume divided by 5. The pump can be used with saltwater.

Installation and hose connection: The system can be directly installed on all pools and basins with a standard pump outlet and is compatible with standard hoses with a diameter of Ø32/38 mm. Along with the system, a special Intex adapter is also provided, which means that ClearWater can also be easily used with larger Intex pools that come with special hose sizes. Filter material and hoses for the pool are not included.
