SAR helicopters are also deployed in crisis areas for transportation and lowering of heavy goods. For this purpose, the side doors and rear hatch of the SIKU helicopter can be opened. The rear hatch is so large that a SIKU vehicle can drive in and out. Like the original, the SIKU transport helicopter is painted gray, and only the two large side doors are fluorescent orange. The helicopters rotor can rotate, and the landing gear can be extended. The winch is automatically raised during rescue training exercises.
