Panzer VIII MOUSE COBI Historical Building Blocks 2559

There is probably no other tank that has inspired more curiosity and interest in the entire history of mechanized armor than the Panzer VIII MAUS. It is surrounded by an aura of mystique, and facts are mixed with legends that have grown over the years. Panzerkampfwagen VIII MAUS was a prototype German super-heavy tank from World War II.

It was the heaviest and largest tank ever built. It weighed over 188 tons! The project was carried out between 1942 and 1944. Only two incomplete prototypes were ever built and they never saw active service.

In April 1945, the Red Army captured both abandoned Maus prototypes, which were located at the Kummersdorf training ground. They were assembled into one vehicle, with the hull from the first prototype and the turret from the second. This hybrid is still one of the main attractions at the Tank Museum in Kubinka near Moscow.

This set includes 1605 high-quality building blocks.
