The efficiency of a sand filter is significantly optimized by using Flocking Sticks in the plants skimmer. The product is developed for use in all pools with sand filters and can be used in combination with chlorine, bromine, or active oxygen. The flocking agent allows your sand filter to capture very small suspended particles that would otherwise pass through the sand filter and cause cloudy pool water.

Flocking Sticks also capture iron and other mineral particles in the water that can cause discoloration. The captured particles are easily removed from the sand filter by a normal backwashing. The result is crystal clear water.

Usage: Can only be used with a sand filter, and pH value must be adjusted before use. It is also recommended to backwash the filter and shock treat the water before use. One roll is placed in the skimmer, alternatively in the pumps pre-filter. It will then dose the flocking agent in the following days while the system runs. A new pack is added when the first one is empty.

Backwash the filter with increased frequency until the water is clear.

Problem-solving: Dull, milky, and cloudy water can also be caused by the pH level in the water being too high and calcium particles being expelled in the water. Adjust the waters pH value to between 7.0 - 7.4. Ensure that the filter functions properly and that the sand in the filter is not dirty and clumped. The sand should be replaced every 5 years at a minimum.

Healthy pool water has a pH value between 7.0 and 7.4. A healthy water balance provides the best efficacy of water treatment. If the pH value of the pool water is not within this range, it is adjusted using pH Plus and pH Minus, respectively.

Cloudy water can also be caused by too little disinfectant in the water. This allows microorganisms to thrive. Adjust the pH level and perform a shock treatment.

Ensure that chemicals do not become damp during storage. Store in the original packaging, locked and out of reach of children, in a dry frost-free place, and not in direct sunlight.
