The Eurofighter aircraft is a multi-role jet fighter developed by the Eurofighter GmbH consortium consisting of the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. It entered service in 2003 and is used by several countries around the world. The Eurofighter Typhoon is capable of supersonic speeds and is highly manoeuvrable. This single-seat aircraft is equipped with advanced radar and electronics systems and has the ability to detect, track and engage both air and ground targets using on-board missile weapons and bombs.

The maximum speed of the Eurofighter is approximately 2,495 km/h and the operational range is 2,900 km. The Eurofighter Typhoon is widely used for defense missions, air surveillance, combating air and ground targets and supporting operations with ground forces. It is recognized as one of the most modern combat aircraft in the world and is a key component of European air defense. Eurofighter aircraft have been delivered to Germany in three tranches since 2004. Changes to the equipment over the years have been made through modification and replacement programs for newer versions.
