The original car was produced from 1937 to 1957. It was characterized by a self-supporting body and front-wheel drive. The commonly recognized and unofficial name for the car is Traction Avant, which means front-wheel drive in French. Our model is equipped with historical emblems from the French internal forces (French: Forces françaises de lIntérieur). FFI was a united organization that brought together all parties in the French resistance during World War II. An integral part of the set is a special figure of General Charles Delestraint. He was a famous general who was active in the resistance movement and organized the resistance in Lyon. After a secret visit to London, he was arrested by the Gestapo and shot in Dachau on April 19, 1945. In addition to the general, you will also find an ordinary member of the French resistance in a characteristic uniform and armband! The set is supplemented with an exclusive black block car display stand and a block with block print with the model name.
