In this particular example, John Watson finished second in the ill-fated 1978 Italian Grand Prix, just behind teammate Niki Lauda in a similar car. While the event itself was overshadowed by the tragic death of Ronnie Peterson, the 1-2 for Brabham was still an impressive result.
